ARTIST STATEMENT

 I am an interdisciplinary artist whose work includes Landscape Architecture, building, sculpture, painting and mixed media constructions.  I focus on integrating fine art, design, and architecture.  I work intuitively, creating in an improvisational manner with my materials.

                                  Designer and Builder of creative environments, site-specific projects      

                                  Landscape projects and Architectural Homes.

1978-1980                  Designer/Project Manager/Builder for Ellison Design and Construction

                                   Designed and constructed solar and earth sheltered homes

1974-1978                   Landscape/Architectural Design and Construction

                                    Developed all areas from concept through final construction

1970-1973                   Art Teacher, Minnesota Public Schools: Project Gain.

                                    Summer sessions. Metal sculpture and welding, grades 6-12.
